Malca Schotten

In 2016, I was commissioned to paint a mural in Norwich as part of the BID’s (Business Improvement District) City of Stories. I decided to paint ‘Snap the Dragon who’s story originates from the Norwich Castle and stories of Dragons in medieval times.

 

My middle son (who became a teacher) was always telling me stories of how his friends didn’t believe him when he told them ‘ My mum painted that dragon’. So when I was invited to a school to talk about the dragon mural, and teach the children how to draw dragons I decided to write a story about how I came to paint the two dragons in Norwich.
